"It’s that time of the year again ! The holidays are just around the
corner, and Triskelion’s of Mid-Atlantic Region and Alpha Phi Omega
Alumni Association of District of Columbia, in cooperation with
Zambaleneos, Inc., U.S.A. , The World Bank Group IMF Filipino Staff
Association and Philippine Embassy will once again share their
generosity to our fellow Filipino Citizens with their needs in the
upcoming cold and bone chilling weather. It’s the “HANDOG NG KAPATIRAN
2008”.
This event will feature not only the outpouring support of the
Mid-Atlantic Triskelions to our fellow citizens but it also helps to
promote the existence and unity of several Filipino Organizations that
some or most citizens are not aware of. This event also highlights the
continuing cooperation of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity of Washington
DC to our service project(s) that some probably thought would not even
get to the drawing board, perhaps, become successful.It’s that time of

But after the Handog ng Kapatiran 2007, the results were stunning, the
Tau Gamma Phi Mid-Atlantic and the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity of
Washington DC were able to prove that we can co-exists with a rival
Fraternity by the way of such joint service projects. The event
triggered us, Triskelions of Mid-Atlantic, to explore other service
projects opportunities for which we had successfully done so over the
last several months.
The Handog ng Kapatiran 2008 will mainly support a handful of newly
migrated teachers from the Philippines, these teachers have come a long
way to be here in America and we are very delighted to give them the
support they need as they battle the process of being away from their
families back home and the cold bone cracking weather of the East Coast
Winter. No one can deny that when the time of needs comes, the Filipino
community are one of the best to give their hearts out to help their
fellow, perhaps, anyone.
We the Triskelions of Mid-Atlantic are humbly proud of the
accomplishments we have obtained by the way of servicing our fellows.
We hope that our accomplishments can become a stepping stone towards
the Peace and Unity.
